While this course is mainly focused on one piece of exercise apparatus – the freeFORM Board, the vast majority of the material will transfer to any form of body weight conditioning.

The course defines the freeFORM Board within the context of body weight conditioning, describes safety precautions, alignment and cuing of joints including hands, wrists, elbows, shoulder, cervical, thoracic spine and lumbo-pelvic rhythm as well as safe body alignment for upright / standing exercises.

  • Understand and apply the safety considerations associated with this form of conditioning
  • Understand the uniqueness of the device and where it fits into the spectrum of body weight conditioning tools
  • To understand and apply the joint cuing and alignment principles
  • To understand a range of movement pattern classifications an which muscle groups and kinetic chains they load
  • To understand progression principles in order to apply the freeFORM Board to any fitness level
  • To apply an exercise delivery template that is universal to all freeFORM Board exercises
  • To apply this template to a broad spectrum of exercises
  • To design a personal training program incorporating the freeFORM Board integrated with a range of other training devices
  • To competently deliver exercises to fellow instructors in a group programming context
